Thupparivalan movie review

Hi guys, happy to be back with a movie review.
Recently watched Thupparivalan - a very nice attempt by Mysskin and Vishal combo.
They have taken Sherlock Holmes type of attempt which is to be welcomed.
The lead roles are performed by Vishal and Anu Emmanuel and supporting roles by Prasanna,Andrea, John Vijay, Bakhyaraj and Vinay.

Vishal is an ambitious and short tempered detective who is craving for some interesting case and gets one from school going kid that his dog is being shot by gun and he gives the bullet and Vishal tracks the case from there which leads him to find much more and how he traps the villains is the story and brilliant screenplay by Mysskin.

There are no songs in the movie and Mysskin has written interesting screenplay like Prasanna asking Vishal the questions the audience would like to ask. Legendary director Bakkiyaraj has done a small and villain role in a different old man get up which resembles the role of Pandiyaraj in the blockbuster hit movie of Mysskin, Anjathey.

There are certain stereotyphic shots and heroic mannerisms and dialogue delivery every hero in Mysskin movie is performing which repeats in this movie as well.
But hats off to Vishal to do a different movie in his career and produce the movie as well.
Prasanna has done a very neat performance without spoiling the role.
Vinay also has done a subtle performance which elevates the movie.
Andrea doesn't have a big role to play same as John Vijay.
Editing, Background music and Cinematography is very good.
I personally liked the set put up as Vishal's residence filled with books in typical Mysskin style.
And the climax shot in Pichavaram near Chidambaram is a visual treat to watch which presents the look we have seen in movies like Anakonda, etc.
Overall the movie is a fantastic choice to audience who like thrillers and dark movies.
Congrats to Mysskin and team.
