Rajinimurugan, the much awaited entertainer with Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh in the leads supported by veteran actor Rajkiran, Samuthirakani, Soori got release for Pongal 2016 and has opened with lot of positive reviews.
The movie is an out and out commercial family entertain which will satisfy majority of the audiences who go to theatres.
Of course without any doubt its a comedy film like 'Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam' movie where the director is same for both the movies.
Infact the director has improved taking care on the length of the movie and keeping the movie within the scope and removing some unwanted characters which slows down the movie like his previous one.
D.Imman has scored the songs and has given some good numbers and background score also is good.
'Unmela oru kannu' is a good soothing one where as 'Kokkarako' is a usual hero intro song and the hit number is 'Ennama Ipdi Panreengalema' which is already viral and popular in Tamilnadu.
Keerthy Suresh being a debut film has given a good performance and has good looks and has chances to see in more films with lead actors. She has to put down some weight before that.
The best part of the movie is Actor Soori as it is a very good comeback for him comparing to his recent cliche comedies.
The movie is set in Madurai rural backdrop like the earlier movie.
Actor Samuthirakani also is a plus where he has done a negative role suiting very well.
Rajkiran comes as typical village oldman as Siva's grandfather and has done justice as usual to his role with some natural performance with sentiment scenes.
Sivakarthikeyan has improved his screen presence and impresses with his dance moves as usual.
In addition to that director has given lot of close up shots and tried siva to emote on multiple instances and he has also scored in that.
This movie is a real proof of the growth of Sivakarthikeyan and shows his dedication and hardwork to the aspiring actors.
Overall its a usual story but a thorough entertainer with laughter guarantee.
Kudos to the team as the movie has been declared as the first blockbuster of the year 2016, though it had lot of struggles for the past one year just to get released.
Producer Lingusamy and his banner 'Thirupathi Brothers' must be definitely happy and thankful to Sivakarthikeyan,director Ponram and team as they have helped them significantly to come out of their financial burden.
